Many years ago, Marina set up her own business in an office underneath her house, the business was called Abacus Secretarial and Bookkeeping Services using software packages such as Word Perfect and Lotus 123, that was basically it! The business provided administrative services to small to medium business owners, sole traders and new businesses. She kept the business operating for about two years until it became too busy and took up way too much time, especially since she still had a young family.
Marina then went back to the workforce, and worked for many years in EA/PA and office management and operational roles for large and small business, private enterprise, government and charity organisations in varied industries, with the most experience in legal, medical, building and construction and security.
In November 2009, Marina commenced a new business Marina Viner Business Services, now called On Point Business Services, loosely based on her first business but now with the amazing technology available today, is able to offer many and varied services. The office is based on the Gold Coast, however we have clients Australia wide and overseas. There are very few restraints to running a remote office.
Qualifications
As well as having the knowledge gained from many years experience Marina also holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) providing a strong understanding of the many important facets of business.
Marina is proficient in several office software packages, including the Microsoft office suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Quickbooks and Xero, MYOB as well as various CRM (customer relationship management) packages.
