On Point Business Services currently provide remote legal secretarial services for a number of legal firms. Whether you are a small practice that does not have the resources for legal administration staff or paralegal services or whether you are a larger firm that needs someone to help with the overflow or cover for sick days or leave, we can work within your business, remotely, from our own office.
We are based on the Gold Coast in Queensland, but provide services nationally and internationally. With today’s amazing technology, location is very rarely a problem.
We have vast experience in the preparation of court documents, the use and spelling of legal terminology and the correct formatting of legal documents.
We use the latest technology for transcription and are able to transcribe in any format, DSS, MP3, DVF, WMV, WMA, MS MPG/MPEG, FLV. All you need to do is forward the file either by email, dropbox, WeTransfer or whatever method you prefer, and we will have your work returned to you, generally, and of course depending on the type of documents, within a twelve hour period. Urgent work can be returned within four hours, however, this will incur a higher rate. We will transcribe the document in the correct format, proof read and edit and return directly to you. The file will be returned to you either by email or into a dropbox file, again this is your choice.
We also provide a virtual reception service, for instance, if your receptionist is away sick or on leave, and the office is too busy to answer calls, you can have your number forwarded to our virtual reception, where you call will be answered by a real person in a friendly, professional manner. Messages will then be emailed or sent by SMS immediately after the call. Your clients won’t even know that the call is being answered off site.
When you use our service you only pay for the time you use, therefore you are not paying any of the usual costs, i.e. no holiday or sick leave, loadings, superannuation, work cover or payroll tax.
All information will be treated in the strictest confidence. We are happy to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Our rates are very reasonable, and there are a couple of different options available. You can pay by the hour for ad hoc or transcription services, or we can formulate a package where you are allocated a certain number of hours each week or month, with unused hours carried over to the next month. We provide fully detailed worksheets with every invoice.
